While in the Ely area, some of the pilots are camping out at the Fall Lake campground in their fifth-wheels, while others have found cabins to rent for the summer. A mix of Canadian and Minnesota pilots and support personnel are staying at Sandemar on Burntside Lake. Asked what is the hardest part of their job, they say it is being away from their families for extended periods of time. |
