Tent-side critter
A hermit crab scrounges for food on the rocks beneath our tent. We saw several of these in the morning after breakfast. Mike discovered, upon arriving home in Minnneapolis, that hermit crabs have a rough time surviving in the cargo hold of a 737 for the duration of a seven hour flight. You see, he (Mike) brought home a seashell that, unbeknownst to him, had become a crab condo during its time on the ocean floor. Of course you couldn't tell that by looking at the shell because that crab was nestled deep within. The crab made it most of the way out of the shell during the flight but obviously succumbed to the stench of Mike's dirty laundry and was D.O.A. at the Lundeby residence.
