We love our Sicilian villa so much we are more than happy to forego touring for another day of hanging out, hiding from the sun, and doing nothing. You know you are relaxed when the main events for the day look like this:

* Cut up a melon.

* Eat yogurt, muesli and melon with plenty of fresh coffee.

* Let Seb (our landlord) in so he can teach us the secret of what you do if the toilet doesn’t flush. (Basically, it boils down to ‘jiggle the handle,’ but these are buttons instead of handles, so we don’t quite do it right, and we make him come all the way out to show us something pretty basic).

* Read books, finish them, and pass them to the next person.

* Swim in the pool.

* Do a little watercolor painting.

* Sweep up flowers.

* Sweep up olives.

* Go skinny-dipping

* Eat fettuccine with pesto.

* Watch the moon rise.

The men lose their minds

Of course! Now we must make a stop-action film! This requires two men in big, green, inflatable chairs hopping around the lawn until they’re exhausted. Bummer, though. Either the camera wasn’t working right, or the film is trapped in the ozone somewhere. We’ll find out someday when we are reunited with a high-speed internet connection. At least we have a few stills of their attempt.
